2005 JPB launches the syntonists.net network, the first Franco-German networking platform. It is designed to be an informal exchange network between the former (and future) participants of JPB's bicultural open and in-house Syntony workshops.
2004 JPB celebrates 20 years as the reference in transcultural business relationship counselling, during which over 10.000 managers and engineers from France, Europe and elsewhere have received expert help and coaching. JPB has always recognised that different cultural values should be seen as complimentary; it sees its role as helping international companies liberate latent transcultural value.
2003 JPB launches Synergo Sum®, an international training course designed to improve transcultural relations. The course, offered through a network of multicultural associate consultants, systematically brings JPB’s 3 Decoding Keys approach to a clientele beyond France and Germany.
2003 ARTE’s second collaboration with JPB to shoot a further documentary on Franco-German mergers. The 25mn documentary Le train Matra – Siemens / Szenen einer Firmenehe is aired in both countries during the 40th anniversary of the Franco-German treaty. Germany’s ARD channel conducts a live interview with Jochen Peter Breuer at Airbus’ plant in Toulouse to explore current Franco-German relations.
2002 Publication of JPB’s second management manual in German Deutsch-französische Geschäftsbeziehungen erfolgreich managen, a reference work designed specifically for German managers to help them better understand and accept their French counterparts.
2000 JPB evolves to JPB Consulting–The Mental Mergers®. Although most clients are French and German, managers of other nationalities increasingly contract JPB for consultancy and corporate counselling, which now largely overtake JPB’s training activities.
2000 Transformation de « JPB – La Synergie Franco-Allemande » en JPB Consulting – The Mental Mergers®. Bien que la clientèle reste principalement française et allemande, les clients de JPB se composent désormais de toutes les nationalités, notamment européennes. L’activité de conseil a largement pris le pas sur l’activité de formation.
1998 JPB takes part in Bonn and Paris exhibitions on Franco-German relations entitled Vis-à-Vis: Deutschland-Frankreich, under the patronage of Chancellor Kohl and President Chirac.
1998 mentalmerger®, a methodology devised to maximise the efficiency of intercultural mergers is launched.
1997 As part of its series Clichés et Malentendus Franco-German TV channel ARTE shoots a documentary at l’INSEAD, with support from JPB. This film which observes young competing French and German management teams has become a reference for the differences in approach to teamwork between French and German managers.
1997 JPB’s moves from Le Vésinet, west of Paris, to La Rochette near Fontainebleau, south of Paris, where the La Feuilleraie Team-Building Centre is inaugurated.
1995 – 1997 Growing demand for consulting and counselling for mergers. Clients include Gehe-OCP, Merk, Lipha and Thompson-AEG.
1996 Publication in German by JPB of the handbook "JPB Know-How-Paket - Deutsch-französisches Kooperations- Management".
1994 JPB celebrates 10 years with a major symposium in Munich chaired by former French Prime-Minister, Raymond Barre. In partnership with the respected Süddeutsche Zeitung and Libération, the symposium asks: what can German managers learn from French managers? Ten German CEOs provide their testimonials on the complementarity of both managerial methods.
1993 JPB launches Synergogram®, a two tier behavioural technique which uses a new methodology to deal with personality structure and national culture
1991 In Germany, JPB receives the Management and Strategy award Best Performance EKS, presented by KPMG and the FAZ press group.
1991 Inaugural Bicultural Syntony Seminar on Franco-German Management. Specifically developed for CEOs, this workshop is regarded is now regarded as the reference event in transcultural business relations.
1989 Publication by JPB of the book Study on Franco-German Management, which has now run to 10 editions.
1989 The inaugural JPB Franco-German Management Forum held at La Défense (Paris), in partnership with the Franco-German Chamber of Commerce and other sponsors.
1989 JPB concentrates on advising Franco-German management and especially with joint-ventures and mergers. Clients include Airbus, Thomson, Merlin Gerin.
1989 FR3 French TV Channel reports extensively on JPB during its coverage the 25th anniversary Franco-German treaty.
1988 JPB is awarded the Grand Prix de la Performance Commerciale (€30.000)by the Ministry of Industry.
1988 First Syntony seminar for French and German managers in partnership with the Franco-German Chamber of Commerce.
1986 FAITES® inaugurates the first Visio-conference between French and German CEO’s. French business magazine L’Entreprise and its German equivalent Impulse cover the story, and German television covers the event
1986 Pierre de Bartha joins Jochen Peter Breuer as equal partners and incorporated the company as an SARL, “JPB – La Synergie Franco-Allemande”.
1986 Launch of FAITES® France Allemagne Innovation Transfert En Synergie. With the help of the European Commission, DREE, ANVAR, DRIR, CFCE, and high patronage of several government ministers between 1986 and 1989, the FAITES® mission was to bring together advanced technology companies from both countries.
FAITES® was sponsored by the Ile de France General Council, Crédit Lyonnais, Heppner Transport and others, and over 100 press articles on JPB and its FAITES® programme were published in both countries.
1984 First intercultural seminar on differences in business in France and in Germany.
1984 Jochen Peter Breuer launches “JPB Export-Communication”, the first consultancy company to specialise in optimising Franco-German business relations.
