Based on our
experiences of Franco-German relations, acquired
in the last 25 years from over 10.000 managers
from both countries, we are pleased to offer our
new training activities to improve transcultural
relations.
The objective of these consciousness-raising
programmes is the long term prevention of loss of
efficiency due to Franco-German cultural
differences.
SynergoSum®:
a Definition
-
Cogito ergo sum: "I
think, therefore I am"
This
thought of Descartes has determined the
behaviour of mankind for centuries. However,
it has resulted in a purely mechanistic
vision of the universe, where only that
which can be understood in a rational manner
and logically proven can have a place. Today,
we have recognised the limits of this vision
of humanity.
-
SynergoSum® : "I
cooperate, therefore I am"
By this thought, we
acknowledge that we all depend on each other.
When we are able to share our capabilities,
we boost the performance of each other and
enhance our own "joie de vivre". The teamwork
created between trainers and consultants
within the SynergoSum® network is solidly
based on JPB’s extensive transcultural know
how, and is a concrete demonstration of this
idea.
-
"If you collaborate,
you collect; if you cooperate, you multiply"
An individual is able to fully develop
abilities and fulfil potential only when
working in harmony with others. In a
professional context, we need to expand this
to include a greater consciousness of the
role of transcultural references when we are
working in an international business context.
-
"Syntony... or not
to be"
"Alone, I may be strong, but together we can
be invincible”. The future depends on more
intelligent interaction, both for
individuals or corporations, for no one
acting alone can appreciate the complexities
of our global challenges. SynergoSum® is
less a method, and more about developing a
state of mind: self awareness and personal
development are central to the process; only
by evolving can organisations play a role in
our futures. We know ourselves through our
immediate cultural references and each time
we negotiate our way through adversity, we
grow stronger. One of the principal
challenges managers will face in the future
is how to "syntonize" with our counterparts,
i.e.: how to identify a common wavelength
where we can respond efficiently to each
other’s different corporate culture and
personality structure
