Alice Ziemendorff
Client Manager

I am French and I was born 1965 in Fontainebleau for sure under a germanophile star since I have been feeling French-German since a long time!

During my studies at the French Business School, ISC Paris, I worked for a small company which was developing an interesting and innovative idea in the French-German field: put the French and the German closer to each other before putting their companies closer to one another. You will have guessed that the two talented managers of this company were Jochen Peter Breuer and Pierre de Bartha.

Theory is nothing without practicing, so as soon as I graduated/got my diploma I decided to move to Germany to live this country (and I must admit also to join one special German, today still living at my side).
I worked six years in Frankfurt in the finance, in a bank and then in the finance department of Hoechst AG where I was in charge of the financing of subsidiaries abroad. This total immersion in the German business world has been a cultural shock but a profitable and healthy one. I have been able of measuring the impact of cultural differences on the co-operation difficulties between foreign subsidiaries’ executives and German head quarter managers.

After six years in Germany we left for England where I lived a second intercultural experience. I spent four years in London. There I studied didactic, got a master in French as a foreign language and worked as a trainer for the French Institute.
In 2000 we decided to move to France with our three children so that my husband could experience life in France!

Since then I have been working as a trainer for FLC, a language and communication training centre in Fontainebleau. I have been teaching French civilisation and French as a foreign language to expatriates and to INSEAD’s staff and MBA students from different nationalities. It has been an enriching intercultural experience and the opportunity for me to give interesting crossed looks on my own culture.

As a part of my German-French commitment I have been managing the German speaking section of the international school of Fontainebleau at the time of the financial withdrawal of the German government. Besides the managing experience of a structure of 4 employees, I learned o lot about day to day German French relationships and co-operation.

Shortly after my return to France I happened to meet quite by chance and rather surprisingly Jochen Peter Breuer in the school of our children!
In 2007 I join with great pleasure JPB Consulting's team willing to support it with my intercultural experiences.

During my free time I take care of my family, my husband and my three sons. My passion is to discover other cultures though literature. As far as sport is concerned I practice jogging, gym, stretching and relaxation because with 4 men at home I have to keep in good form and above all to be zen!

My maxim: "you need a bit of everything to build a world."
